A BUSY NOVEMBER AT SGA!
NOVEMBER COMPETITION NEWS AND A VISIT FROM PROFESSOR KEVNovember saw a number of events for the team at SGA.
On 3 November our first all-female competitor team attended to The Empire Grappling Lancashire Open, where for some it was their first time competing! A fantastic display of jiu-jitsu was put on by all the competitors and it marks the start of a strong competition group for our ladies and a great team experience. Well done to Rachel Kermeen, Sorrelle Williams, Sarah Redmond and Shirley Tung.
On 10 November, junior competitor Alan Greenhalgh competed at the Nottingham Open. With a dominant 14-0 win on points in his semi-final, Alan came up in the final against a strong competitor to take silver in the division. Another great performance from Alan.
On 15 November our own Professor Kev Ayre visited SGA and put on a fantastic seminar for both gi and nogi practitioners - we can all agree it was a very useful and insightful seminar from our most experienced black belt professor.
